C@H FOOD FOR THOUGHT
wedgie fries raw 325x225Next to apple, potato wedges are likely the most common reference to wedges found in contemporary kitchens.  Oven fries, a.k.a. baked potato wedgies are easy to make, filling and fun to eat. See recipe for Oven Wedgies dressed in olive oil and sea salt or seasoning.

To make potato wedges (right) for oven wedgies, start with clean and dry skin-on potatoes. Cut in half lengthwise, then cut each half again lengthwise into quarters or thirds, depending on thickness of the potato and how long you can wait for them to cook.  Use immediately according to recipe, or cover with water and refrigerate to prevent them from darkening.

Quartered Romaine Radichio Salad 325x225No time to make a big impression?  Try our recipe for quick and easy (yet über elegant) Romaine Wedges with Radicchio and Simple Vinaigrette made with gorgeous extra virgin olive oil and top-quality reduced vinegar like our pomegranate vinegar.

For even greater affect, grill cut sides of romaine briefly, only to mark, before dressing and serving immediately as a side salad or dressed up with grilled chicken, steak or seafood as a main.

iceberg lettuce wedge dressing 325x225Kitchy, crispy iceberg lettuce wedges are enjoying a resurgence - drizzled with homemade thousand island dressing and tiny pink shrimp.

Or, whiz up a beautiful blue cheese dressing with no more trouble than tossing a few cubes of any blue type cheese, a splash of milk, plus left-over low-fat sour cream, whipping cream, cream, or low-fat cream cheese, into the blender. Thin to perfection with olive oil.  Garnish simply, a la 60s' patio party.  Super easy, crispy, crunchy fun for all ages.
