C@H FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Most restaurant meals are garnished in one way or another - even subtely - but there is no reason why the everyday gourmet can't spice up mid-week meals, even breakfast.
Chopped herbs, citrus zest, finely grated or cubed cheese, diced tomato or pepper, and small herb leaves are a few ideas for garnishing soups and main courses. In a pinch, even store-bought desserts can appear home-made when they are plated and then dusted with cocoa or powdered sugar - or a dollop of whipped cream and a small sprig of mint.
